About 20 miles east of Norwich
Gardener in Great Yarmouth
Salt wind, Gorleston and the bungalows of Bradwell. Fences and hinges live a harder life on this side of the county.
The run out to Great Yarmouth is a familiar one, about twenty miles down to the coast. The gardens are not Norwich gardens with a sea view. Easterlies carry salt. Hinges rust, timber greys faster, and a fence that was fine in Eaton can lean after a winter here. Lawns on the sandier ground dry out, while anything tucked behind a wall can stay surprisingly lush and green with algae.
Gorleston, Bradwell, Caister and the streets of Yarmouth itself are the core of what we will book. Belton, Hopton and Hemsby sit naturally on the same day. Holiday places that need a tidy between lettings are welcome if you give us the date that matters — we are not a resort maintenance contract with a call centre, we are a gardener who can turn a garden around when the dates are real.
We do not clean seafront railings for the council, and we do not work off roofs in a coastal gale. Domestic gardens, drives, hedges and fences: that is the work. If your plot is a balcony and a planter, say so. It may be a small job we can add to a day, or it may not be worth the drive, and we will tell you which.

Services in Great Yarmouth
The full list is available here. These are the local reasons people book each one, not a copied menu.
- Jet washingOne of the most useful jobs out here. Patios, paths and deck boards, with the pressure turned down on timber.
- Fence replacementWorth doing properly. A coastal fence with soft posts will be on the lawn again. We price posts and gravel boards as part of the run, not as a surprise.
- Fence & gate repairsRusted hinges and dropped gates are a regular call. Sometimes the repair is new ironmongery; sometimes the post has gone.
- Hedge trimmingShelter belts and privet on the leeward side. We will not flail a hedge that is the only windbreak you have without talking about what grows back.
- Tree pruningSmall garden trees only. Anything wind-thrown and large needs an arborist, especially near roads.
- Lawn care & turf installationSandy lawns need water more than they need another scarify. We will not sell you a treatment the soil will not hold.
- Regular garden maintenanceGrouped visits work. A single lawn every week usually does not, unless it sits next to other Yarmouth gardens on the round.
- Garden design & makeoversShelter first, then a place to sit out of the wind. Planting lists are shorter and tougher than an inland cottage garden.
- Patios, paving & deckingDecks in full exposure need air and decent fixings. In deep shade by a wall, slabs may be the less slippery choice.
