Most ‘design’ calls are a garden that has got tired: a lawn the wrong shape, borders too narrow to plant, a patio that faces the shed, a new-build plot with a fence and a promise. We sketch a layout you can actually build, choose plants that cope with the soil and the wind, and then do the work — or the parts of it you want done.
Because fencing, turf and paving sit in the same business, you are not passed between a designer and a landscaper who have never met. Lighting that needs an electrician, and anything structural on the house, is outside what we certify. We will leave a sleeve or a note for a sparky rather than invent a certificate.

Worth knowing
- We are at our best on domestic gardens, not commercial courtyards or listed landscapes that need a landscape architect.
- Rabbits, salt wind and heavy shade change the planting list. A scheme that ignores them looks fine in June and empty by August.
- If you only want a planting plan and you will do the digging, say that at the start so the quote matches.

Clearance, levels, then the surfaces and the plants. We do not leave you with a drawing and a pile of compost.
Questions
Do you produce 3D visuals?
No. You get a clear sketch and a conversation in the garden. If you need a full planning set for a large scheme, that is a landscape designer’s drawing, and we can build from one if you already have it.
Can you work with a tight budget?
Yes, by phasing. Often the lawn shape and one usable path change a garden more than a trolley of shrubs. We will mark what to do first.
Will the plants survive here?
We choose for the spot: clay that lies wet, sand that dries, or a coastal plot that gets salt. We still cannot water them for you through a drought. New planting needs water in its first summer.
