Privacy notice

This notice is for the public website of DC Gardening Services, a gardening and outdoor trades business based in the Norwich area, Norfolk. We do not have a shop address published here. To ask about your information, call07936 049191.

Who is responsible

DC Gardening Services is the controller for enquiries sent through this site or by phone. This is a small business site, not a platform with user accounts.

What we collect

If you use the enquiry form or email us, we receive what you choose to send:

• Your name
• A phone number, an email address, or both
• Your town or village
• The service you pick, if any
• Your message about the garden

If you only telephone, we have the number you called from and whatever you tell us in the conversation. Please do not send bank details, passwords, or copies of identity documents. A quote does not need them.

Why we use it

We use these details to reply, arrange a look at the garden, prepare a quote, and do the work if you accept it. The lawful basis is steps towards a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing lists.

How the form sends your message

The form checks the basics in your browser first. What happens next depends on how the site is configured:

• If an email address has been set up for enquiries, your device opens an email with the message filled in, and you send it from your own email app.
• If a form service has been connected, the details are sent to that service so we can read them and reply. That provider processes the message on our instructions.
• If neither is connected yet, the form still prepares an email in your app, and the reliable route is to call 07936 049191.

We do not run a customer database on this website. There is no account to log into.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails and messages are kept long enough to quote, do the work, and deal with any follow-up about that job. After that they sit with ordinary business correspondence until they are deleted. Phone numbers saved in a handset are treated the same way.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not embed third-party trackers. If a form provider is connected later, that service may use its own cookies when you submit the form. Their notice will describe that.

Hosting

The site is static. The company that hosts it may keep technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running. Those logs are not used to build marketing profiles.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct it
• Delete it, where we do not still need it for the job or for legal reasons
• Limit or object to how it is used
