Gardener in Norwich
City gardens, new-build plots and the suburbs from Eaton to Taverham. This is the centre of the round.
Norwich gardens are rarely the same twice. A Golden Triangle terrace might have a yard the width of a sofa and a gate down an alley. Eaton, Cringleford and Taverham have family lawns, hedges that have crept, and fences the wind has started on. Thorpe St Andrew adds longer plots. Bowthorpe, Sprowston, Hellesdon and the newer edges are full of gardens that were handed over as turf, a panel fence and a bag of bark.
The ground across much of the city holds water in winter. Shaded lawns grow moss, especially where a fence or a neighbour’s extension has stolen the sun. Access is often the real constraint: tools through a house, or down a shared path, with a neighbour’s car in the way. We plan for that when we quote, rather than discovering it with a van full of slabs.
Regular maintenance, one-off tidies between tenants, jet washing before a sale, and fencing after a gale are the calls we get most. Garden makeovers happen too, usually when a lawn is the wrong shape or a patio faces the fence. If you are in the city or the suburbs listed below, you are in the easiest part of our patch.

Services in Norwich
The full list is available here. These are the local reasons people book each one, not a copied menu.
- Jet washingCity patios stay green in the shade. A half-day on a terrace yard or a Cringleford drive is a standard booking.
- Fence replacementEstate panels and older closeboard. We measure the run you can replace, including gravel boards where beds have built up.
- Fence & gate repairsSide gates that drag, and panels down after a windy night. Access along a shared path needs agreeing first.
- Hedge trimmingPrivet and laurel in the suburbs, often tighter than people remember. We check for nests from March to August.
- Tree pruningFruit trees in older gardens, and small ornamentals in newer ones. Large street trees are a tree surgeon’s job, and often the council’s.
- Lawn care & turf installationMossy shade lawns, and turf where a new-build lawn has given up. Watering a new lawn is down to you for the first fortnight.
- Regular garden maintenanceThe most sensible regular work we do, because travel is short and visits can be grouped across the city.
- Garden design & makeoversUsually a reshape: a lawn that works, a path to the bin store, and a border wide enough to plant.
- Patios, paving & deckingSmall sitting areas and relaying patios that rock. Getting materials through a terrace is part of the price.
