We jet wash driveways, patios, paths, garden walls and decking for houses around Norwich and the towns we cover. Most of the work is algae, lichen and the grey bloom that builds up where a surface stays damp. A careful pass brings the colour back. Blasting soft brick, failing pointing or thin deck boards does the opposite, so the pressure is matched to the material.
Roofs are a different job — slippery, often fragile, and not something we take on. UPVC, paintwork and sandstone get a conversation first. If a patio is moving because the base has failed, washing it will make it look cleaner and it will still rock. In that case a relaying quote is the honest one.
What is included
- Patios, paths and block paving
- Concrete and tarmac driveways
- Timber decking, at a pressure that cleans rather than furrows the grain
- Garden walls and the faces of brick pillars
- Moving pots back when you want them returned to the same spots
- A straight quote before we arrive with the machine
Worth knowing
- Old concrete that has pitted will still look old. Clean, but old. We would rather say that on the phone than after the invoice.
- Pointing that is already loose can wash out. If we can see that, we will point it out and price a repair if you want one.
- We do not jet wash roofs, and we do not sign up to a ‘like new’ promise on stone that has been outside for twenty years.
How it usually runs
01
Send a photo
A wide shot and a close shot of the greenest patch is usually enough to judge the job.
02
We price the area
Drive, patio or deck, plus anything fiddly like steps or a lot of furniture to shift.
03
Clean, then rinse
We work so the muck leaves the surface rather than sitting in the joints.
Questions
Will jet washing damage my patio?
Not if the pressure suits the material. Porcelain and sound concrete take more than soft sandstone, old brick or thin deck boards. We set the machine for the surface in front of us, and we stop if the pointing starts to move.
How long does a driveway take?
A typical single driveway is a half-day once we are set up. A large drive, or one with heavy lichen, takes longer. You will have a time on the quote, not a vague ‘sometime that week’.
Do I need to be in?
We need access to an outside tap and a way onto the surface. If a side gate is unlocked and the tap is obvious, you do not have to stand and watch. We will say what we need when we book the day.
We cover Norwich and the Norfolk towns on the areas we cover page. If the garden is further out, ring and ask — the answer depends on the size of the job.
