Jobs
The work, in pictures
Fences, turf, hedges, jet washing and garden brickwork from jobs DC Gardening Services has done. Towns are not labelled. A photograph is the job, not a promise that the next one will look identical.
Nothing in that group yet.

Fencing
Three panels, stained and stood
The finished run: dark-stained featheredge on concrete posts, with the garden tidied back behind it. Panel size, post centres and whether the old timber leaves are what the quote is built on.

Fencing
Before the panels came out
A leaning panel, a shed in the way and a boundary that had given up. This is the usual starting point for a replacement rather than another patch.

Fencing
New fence, new turf
Pale panels and a strip of fresh turf. Where a lawn meets a new fence, the levels have to be set before the turf goes down or the edge will show every dip.

Fencing
Fence in, soil still open
Posts and panels up, the ground raked level and not yet finished. We leave a job at the stage the quote described, and we say so if turf or gravel is still to come.

Lawns
Turf, the day it went down
A prepared rectangle of fresh turf. It needs water in the first weeks. We say how much, and we do not pretend a lawn is established the afternoon it is laid.

Lawns
Rotavating before the lawn
Compacted or builder-damaged ground gets broken up before turf or seed. A rotavator on tilled soil is the middle of that job, not the end of it.

Lawns
The lawn beforehand
Long grass, a brown clump and a garden that had got away. A first cut is not a makeover. If the lawn needs scarifying or turf, that is a separate quote.

Jet washing
Steps, deck and the green film
A pressure washer on the steps, with the deck and a green picket fence beside it. Timber gets less pressure than concrete. The aim is the algae gone and the grain still there.

Hard landscaping
A wall, halfway
Posts set and a string line pulled for a garden wall rebuild. Hard landscaping is levels and a base, not a surface laid on whatever was there last year.

Hedges
Trimmer, scaffolding, cuttings
A tall hedge cut from scaffolding, with the clippings still on the lawn. Height, the face you want, and whether the waste leaves are agreed before we start.

Hedges
The same hedge, from the side
Another angle of that cut: scaffold along the hedge and the arisings piled where they can be cleared. We check for active nests between March and August and wait if birds are in it.

Trees
Branches from a cherry picker
Cut branches on the drive and a cherry picker in place. This is garden tree work we can reach safely. Highway trees and anything that needs a climber’s ticket go to a tree surgeon.

Trees
On site before the cutting
The van at a house wrapped for work, before the branches came down. The registration is blurred. It is a site photo, not a portrait of the vehicle.

Brickwork
A pier that had failed
A damaged brick pier before it was taken down. Garden brickwork we quote is pillars, caps and low walls, not a house extension.

Brickwork
Pier rebuilt, stone cap on
The same sort of pier rebuilt in red brick with a pale stone cap. New brick will not match weathered brick for a while. We say that before we start.

Brickwork
A wall opened up
Mid-repair, with the failed section cut back to sound brick. If what we find is worse than the photo, we stop and reprice before carrying on.

On site
A bulk bag over the hedge
A grab lorry lifting a tonne bag in when the side gate will not take a pallet. Access is part of the price on terraces and gardens with no driveway.
If your garden needs this done
You do not need a matching photo. Describe the job and the town.
